Gaza bleeds again: Families killed in Israeli strikes on refugee camps

Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip killed multiple civilians, including women and children, and wounded many others early Sunday, according to local sources.
In central Gaza’s Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, a drone strike hit a residential apartment, killing a man and his wife. Another strike targeted a tent in the Al-Hassaina area west of Al-Nuseirat, sheltering displaced families, resulting in additional deaths and injuries. In Khan Younis’ Al-Mawasi area, warplanes bombed a tent in the Al-Rayan camp, killing two civilians and wounding others. Israeli forces also opened fire in the Asdaa area north of Khan Younis, injuring several civilians.
Since October 2023, Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has killed at least 55,908 Palestinians and wounded over 131,138, mostly women and children, with thousands feared trapped under rubble. Despite UN Security Council ceasefire calls and International Court of Justice orders to prevent genocide and address the humanitarian crisis, the attacks continue.
The ongoing violence has drawn international condemnation, but no significant action has halted the escalating death toll in Gaza. (ILKHA)
