France withdraws last military troops from Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso announced on Sunday that operations by the French troops in the country were officially over.
Senior officers from Burkinabe armed forces and French troops in the country held a flag-lowering ceremony to mark the occasion at a camp on the outskirts of the capital Ouagadougou on Saturday, Burkina's army said in a statement on Facebook.
“As a reminder, this ceremony comes after the denunciation by the political authorities of Burkina Faso of the 2018 agreement governing the presence of the elements of the French Armed Forces in Burkina Faso,” the army added. (ILKHA)
