At least 9 killed in Tanzania truck-mini bus crash

At least nine people were killed and three others injured on Sunday evening in a head-on collision between a mini-bus and a truck in eastern Tanzania, according to a regional official.
The accident occurred along the Dar es Salaam-Bagamoyo highway in Kiromo village, Coast region, when the truck driver attempted to overtake two vehicles, said Aboubakar Kunenge, the Coast regional commissioner.
"The truck driver lost control during the overtaking maneuver and collided with the oncoming mini-bus," Kunenge explained.
The truck driver fled the scene, and authorities have launched a search to apprehend him. (ILKHA)
