Türkiye welcomes joint declaration between Cambodia and Thailand
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the signing of a Joint Declaration between Cambodia and Thailand, expressing hope that the agreement will enhance peace and stability in Southeast Asia.
In an official statement released on Sunday, the Ministry said: “We welcome the Joint Declaration signed between Cambodia and Thailand in Kuala Lumpur on 26 October 2025. We commend the efforts of H.E. Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and H.E. Donald Trump, President of the United States, toward the signing of this declaration.”
The Ministry emphasized Türkiye’s support for initiatives that strengthen dialogue, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence in the region, noting that such diplomatic developments contribute to broader regional stability.
“We believe this Joint Declaration will contribute to regional peace and stability in Southeast Asia,” the statement added.
The agreement, signed in Kuala Lumpur, marks a step toward closer bilateral relations between Phnom Penh and Bangkok, with regional and international leaders lauding the move as a constructive step toward conflict resolution and mutual cooperation. (ILKHA)
