Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Sudan's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohieddin Salem, in Ankara to discuss bilateral relations and strengthen diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing ties and expanding collaboration in the field of diplomacy and foreign affairs.

A key outcome of the talks was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the diplomacy academies of the foreign ministries of Türkiye and Sudan. The agreement is expected to promote institutional collaboration through the exchange of expertise, joint training programs, academic cooperation, and capacity-building initiatives for diplomats from both countries.

The signing of the memorandum reflects the growing partnership between Ankara and Khartoum and underscores their shared interest in strengthening diplomatic engagement and developing closer institutional links.

The meeting forms part of Türkiye's broader efforts to deepen its relations with African nations through enhanced political dialogue, diplomatic cooperation, and mutually beneficial partnerships. (ILKHA)
