Turkish Coast Guard rescues 22 migrants, including 4 children, off Izmir coast

The Turkish Coast Guard rescued 22 irregular migrants, including four children, stranded on a rubber boat in the Aegean Sea near Karaburun, İzmir.
The group was reportedly pushed back into Turkish waters by Greek authorities, leaving them in perilous conditions.
The Coast Guard responded promptly, safely retrieving all passengers from the distressed vessel. The migrants were then transported to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management Repatriation Center for processing and support.
This rescue underscores the ongoing dangers faced by migrants crossing the Aegean, as well as the Turkish Coast Guard’s critical role in ensuring their safety. Further details regarding the migrants’ identities or nationalities have not been disclosed. (ILKHA)
