President Erdoğan travels to Azerbaijan for Turkic States Summit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan departed for Azerbaijan’s city of Gabala to attend the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
President Erdoğan left Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport at 09:15 a.m. aboard the presidential aircraft “TC-TUR.”
He was seen off by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and other senior officials.
During the summit, leaders of member states are expected to discuss political, economic and cultural cooperation among Turkic countries, as well as regional security and joint development projects.
The Organization of Turkic States, which includes Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan as full members, aims to strengthen solidarity and coordination among Turkic nations.(ILKHA)
