ITTIHADUL ULEMA President: Muslims must revive the Prophet’s legacy of resistance

Thousands gathered in Diyarbakır for a powerful Mawlid Al Nabi celebration organized by the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, under the theme: “Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad.”
The event united participants from across the Islamic world in a collective show of spiritual devotion and political solidarity, with a special emphasis on resistance, particularly in the context of ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.
Among the key participants was Molla Enver Kılıçaslan, President of ITTIHADUL ULEMA, who delivered a stirring address centered on the prophetic model of resistance and the current plight of Muslims in Palestine.
Kılıçaslan emphasized the deeper purpose behind organizing such mass gatherings: to unite Muslims on the foundation of the Qur’an and Sunnah and to revive the spirit of resistance embodied by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
“In this Mawlid event, guests from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Europe, and many Islamic countries have come here to strengthen the unity of the ummah,” said Kılıçaslan. “They have gathered to stand united against kufr, Zionism, and the crimes of Israel. Today, it is the Jews who massacre children, women, and patients in Palestine. Our aim here is to awaken people and ensure they are not submissive to the aggressors.”
He praised the perseverance of the Palestinian people, highlighting the disproportionate nature of the conflict. “Despite being persecuted, captured, and massacred, the Palestinian people do not give up their cause,” he said. “While America, France, England, and Germany support Israel with their most advanced weapons, the mujahideen in Gaza have been resisting for nearly two years with handmade arms. Inshallah, victory will be for the Muslims.”
Kılıçaslan warned against falling into the traps set by Israel and its Western allies, stating: “We must resist Israel, Christians, and Jews—not be fooled by their games. We must remain firm on the path of the Qur’an and not compromise our cause.”
He reaffirmed that the Islamic cause, launched by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is a continuous struggle that will ultimately triumph. “Our Prophet is the head of this cause. He began this mission alone, fought Jews and Christians, formed a community, established the Islamic state in Medina, and eventually led it to global victories. Today, while Jews and Christians dominate the world, Inshallah, the Ummah will be united once again to reclaim its place. And this is already unfolding, day by day.”
The Mawlid celebration was not just a religious commemoration but also a forum for international Islamic unity. With the participation of guests from multiple countries, the event sent a powerful message of solidarity with the people of Gaza and resistance movements across the Islamic world.
As flags waved and chants filled the air, the gathering in Diyarbakır served as both a spiritual homage to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and a bold declaration of defiance in the face of global injustice. (ILKHA)
