HÜDA PAR Chairman holds meetings with Sudanese and Algerian political leaders
HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu held strategic meetings with key Sudanese and Algerian political leaders to address critical developments in Sudan, Palestine, and the broader Islamic world, according to a statement on the party’s official X account.
In his first engagement, Yapıcıoğlu met Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, Vice President of Sudan’s National Congress Party, and Dr. Muhammed Ata, a prominent leader of Sudan’s Islamic Movement. The talks focused on Sudan’s volatile political situation, marked by ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces since April 2023, which has triggered a severe humanitarian crisis. Both sides exchanged perspectives on navigating Sudan’s challenges in the wake of the 2019 overthrow of former President Omar al-Bashir.
In a separate meeting, Yapıcıoğlu conferred with Abdulali Hassani Sherif, President of Algeria’s main opposition party, the Movement for Peace Society (Hareketu Muctemeu's-Silm). Their discussions centered on pressing issues across the Islamic world, with a particular emphasis on the Palestinian struggle amid escalating Israeli actions in Gaza. Yapıcıoğlu, known for his staunch opposition to Zionism, underscored the need for collective action to support Palestinian rights.
Both meetings highlighted the importance of enhanced communication and the exchange of political expertise among parties to foster solidarity and address shared challenges. Yapıcıoğlu emphasized building stronger ties within the Islamic movement to confront regional crises effectively.
These high-level talks underscore HÜDA PAR’s proactive role in forging connections with Islamic political movements and opposition groups, reinforcing its commitment to unity and cooperation in tackling issues like the Sudan conflict and the Palestinian cause. (ILKHA)
