Hope Caravan Foundation provides food aid to flood victims in Batman

The Hope Caravan Foundation, a humanitarian organization, has delivered food parcels to dozens of families affected by the recent floods in Batman, Turkey.
Nurettin Teymur, head of the foundation's Batman branch, said they have been on the ground since Nov. 19, when heavy rains caused flash floods that killed four people, including three children, and damaged many homes.
"We are with the families. In the first few days, we distributed soup and food to a thousand people a day. We distributed winter clothes to those who could not get into their homes. Today, we provided food aid to the families we identified," Teymur said.
He added that with the help of donors, the foundation will also meet other needs of the flood victims, such as blankets, quilts, carpets and refrigerators.
"May God accept the charity of our benefactors. The incident in Batman was indeed a great and painful event. We lost 4 citizens in this painful incident, 3 of them were children. Once again, may our Batman get well soon," he said. (ILKHA)
