Erdoğan to visit TRNC for 51st anniversary of Cyprus peace operation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on July 20, 2025, to commemorate the 51st anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation and participate in the Peace and Freedom Day ceremonies.
During his visit, President Erdoğan will hold talks with TRNC President Ersin Tatar to strengthen bilateral ties, according to a statement from Burhanettin Duran, Head of Communications for the Turkish Presidency.
The visit will also include Erdoğan’s participation in groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for several development projects supported by Türkiye, aimed at boosting the TRNC’s infrastructure and economy.
The annual Peace and Freedom Day marks the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation, a significant event in the region’s history.
