Erdogan meets Iraqi Kurdish leader Barzani in Ankara

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) President Nechirvan Barzani at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Thursday, in a high-level meeting addressing regional and bilateral issues.
The closed-door discussions were attended by key Turkish officials, including National Intelligence Organization (MIT) head Ibrahim Kalin, Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, and Presidential Chief Foreign Policy and Security Adviser Akif Cagatay Kilic.
Earlier in the day, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also held talks with Barzani, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s official social media account, Nsosyal.
The meetings underscore Ankara’s ongoing engagement with the Kurdistan Regional Government and signal continued coordination on regional security, political developments, and bilateral cooperation.(ILKHA)
