Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has called for an escalation of Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation, saying continued Israeli assaults on Palestinians, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the occupied West Bank leave the Palestinian people with no choice but to intensify confrontation.

Abu Obeida praised Palestinian resistance fighters confronting Israeli occupation forces and armed settlers in the occupied West Bank, describing their actions as a legitimate response to Israel's ongoing military operations and settler violence.

He said Israel's repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, the demolition of Palestinian homes, the confiscation of land, and the continuing military campaign in the Gaza Strip would only deepen Palestinian resistance.

"The occupation's continued aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque, its campaign of home demolitions, land seizures, and its war on Gaza will only lead to an escalation of confrontation," Abu Obeida said.

Calling on Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank to intensify resistance, Abu Obeida urged residents to defend their land and Islamic holy sites from what he described as systematic Israeli attacks. He also appealed to Palestinian tribes and what he called "honorable members of the security services" to join efforts to confront Israeli military raids and settler assaults.

The Al-Qassam spokesperson stressed that the occupied West Bank has become the central arena of confrontation with Israel, expressing confidence that developments there would play a decisive role in shaping the future of the conflict.

His remarks came as Palestinian political factions and resistance groups strongly condemned Friday's deadly attack on the town of Tell, southwest of Nablus, where Israeli occupation forces and armed settlers killed four members of the same Palestinian family and wounded four others, three of them critically.

In separate statements, Palestinian factions described the attack as a "field execution" and "a new war crime," accusing Israeli occupation forces of providing protection and support to settler groups carrying out attacks against Palestinian civilians.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that four Palestinians were killed and four others injured during the assault, adding to the growing death toll in the occupied West Bank amid escalating Israeli military operations and settler violence.

Palestinian officials and human rights advocates have repeatedly warned of an unprecedented rise in attacks by Israeli settlers across the occupied West Bank. They argue that the assaults are part of an organized campaign backed by the Israeli government to expand settlements, forcibly displace Palestinian communities, and impose new realities on the ground in violation of international law.

The latest violence has further heightened tensions across the occupied Palestinian territories, where repeated Israeli military raids, settler attacks, and restrictions on Palestinian movement continue alongside Israel's ongoing military offensive in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian leaders have renewed calls for international intervention, warning that continued impunity for Israeli actions is fueling instability and deepening the humanitarian crisis throughout occupied Palestine.
