Turkish economic confidence rises in November
The Turkish Statistical Institute reported a broad-based upswing in the country's economic sentiment for the month of November, signaling growing optimism among businesses and consumers.
The headline economic confidence index, a key barometer of the economic outlook, climbed from 98.2 in October to 99.5 in November, marking a 1.3% increase.
The positive trend was reflected across all major sectors. Consumer confidence saw a significant boost, rising by 1.6% to reach 85.0. In the real sector, the manufacturing industry confidence index advanced by 1.2% to 103.2.
The services sector also reported improved morale, with its confidence index increasing by 1.0% to 111.8, while confidence in the retail trade sector grew by 0.9% to 114.2. The construction sector registered one of the strongest gains, with its confidence index rising by 1.5% to settle at 84.9.
The coordinated rise across these key indicators suggests a more favorable assessment of the overall economic climate in Turkey as the year draws to a close. (ILKHA)
