In a mission to deliver aid to those in need, officials from Hope Caravan Foundation and European Orphan Hand visited a refugee camp on the border of Sudan in Chad.
The organizations provided essential food assistance to about 1,000 families residing in the camp.
The camp, located 1,000 kilometers from the capital city of Encemine, houses nearly 600,000 people who have fled war-torn Sudan. Cengiz Kurtaran, president of Hope Caravan Foundation, shed light on the dire situation in the camp, revealing that 80% of the residents are women and children.
"Our brothers and sisters are in dire need of our help," Kurtaran emphasized. "With a majority of the camp's population being women and children, it's crucial that we address their urgent needs."
Kurtaran's statement highlighted the lack of basic necessities such as proper shelter and food. He revealed an alarming fact - nearly 800 children in the camp are at risk of dying from hunger.
In a powerful appeal to benefactors, Kurtaran urged for immediate assistance. "We must join hands and extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Chad," he pleaded. "Their fight for survival necessitates our support. Let's send aid to alleviate their suffering."
This joint effort by Hope Caravan Foundation and European Orphan Hand exemplifies the vital role international aid organizations play in alleviating human suffering around the world. Their mission to deliver critical aid to vulnerable populations caught in humanitarian crises serves as a beacon of hope and compassion. (ILKHA)
