The Hamas Movement has expressed appreciation for the recent decisions taken by Türkiye, which include halting its commercial relations with Israel and joining the genocide lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
Hamas views these Turkish moves as a victory for the Palestinian people who are currently subjected to a horrific genocidal war. In a press statement released on Friday, the Hamas Movement stated, "Such courageous decisions reflect the Turkish people’s authentic position in support of the struggle of our Palestinian people and their right to freedom and self-determination."
The Movement has called on all countries, especially Arab and Muslim nations, to sever all ties with the Nazi-Zionist entity, isolate it internationally, and strive to hold its terrorist leaders accountable for their systematic crimes against children and defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip. This has resulted in more than 120,000 martyrs, wounded and missing persons, 70% of whom were children and women. In addition, two million people have been displaced and there has been massive destruction of homes and infrastructure, affecting more than 60% of the buildings. This is all happening amid a tight siege, a stifling humanitarian crisis, and an unprecedented famine.
The Hamas Movement has pledged to continue its struggle for peace, justice, and human dignity. (ILKHA)
