The Turkish Ministry of National Defence announced that its forces "neutralized" seven members of the PKK/YPG in northern Syria.
The Ministry's statement said the individuals were killed in the Euphrates Shield and Peace Spring operation zones, bordering Türkiye. It claimed they were planning attacks in these areas.
The PKK, Kurdistan Workers' Party, is designated as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the United States, and the European Union.
The YPG, People's Protection Units, is considered its Syrian affiliate. Türkiye has carried out several military operations in northern Syria targeting the YPG, which it views as a security threat. (ILKHA)
