Istanbul Airport has soared to the top of the rankings for the busiest airport in Europe, according to a report by the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol).
The report, covering the period from April 22nd to 28th, revealed that Istanbul Airport averaged a staggering 1421 daily flights during that week. This achievement places it firmly ahead of its European competitors.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and London Heathrow Airport followed closely behind with 1318 and 1258 daily flights respectively.
